Providing the detailed specifications of the engine, its application, and general guidance on end-uses, it was necessary to co-author a new specification for the system with the client, which was to be focused on quietness and energy efficiency.
The choice immediately fell on a speed control for brushless motors completely new for that type of application: although this type of board is rather simple in terms of I/O, interpreting the client's wish to take its product a step further, Intea created firmware capable of modeling the type of motor and deriving the data needed to drive it efficiently under different conditions of use. The innovations proposed by Intea also spilled over into the choice of the motor's construction elements, increasing its performance.
By introducing card parameterization, the client can use the same card on multiple production appliances, increasing versatility and reducing costs. The client has thus acquired the autonomy to adapt the card to different types of motors , which in fact became a new generation of motors, achieving a considerable increase in know-how that allowed it to expand its market share.
