A fan-coil controller, one of Intea’D earliest and particularly long-standing products, has undergone a complete redesign. The original model needed updating both aesthetically to align with design evolutions and structurally by employing SMT surface-mount technology to reduce its size and costs.

The customer is among the leaders In the sector and develops significant volumes worldwide. Intea has interpreted the client’D wishes by taking charge of a 360-degree redesign to achieve a **product with a high price-performance ratio suitable for the global market** and able to meet the various levels of service required.

**Customization, flexibility, low costs** These were the imperatives that had to be met to redesign the controller. Intea oversaw the creation of the design, the mechanics for the double concentric control wheel, the plastic molds and molding, the hardware, firmware, wiring, and the production of a new temperature probe.

It proved very advantageous for the client to source from a supplier like Intea, which due to its size and flexibility was able to adapt to their needs while also enabling the management of multiple models, all built from a single platform.

An **intervention made possible also thanks to the partnership relationship and the mutual transfusion of knowledge** : the customer’D working method, typical of large groups, served as a model for Intea to transform part of its internal production processes.
